Gifts for the Champagne Lover in Your Life

Bonjour! Valentine’s Day is almost here, and I don’t know about you, but this year has me thinking outside the (chocolate) box for gifts. And if you want to do something different for your lady or best gal pal other than the usual flowers and chocolates, I’ve got you covered…especially if they are a champagne lover like moi.

Since it’s the month of love, I also wanted to showcase as many small businesses as possible in hopes that we will all continue to shop small during this challenging economic time. Those are denoted with a 🥂 on the list below.

Valentine’s Day has a lot of haters, but I have loved it since I was a little girl because it’s a big deal for my entire family. My dad always came home with something for all of “his girls” (mom, my identical twin sister Erin, and me). And that never changed as years went on. When I started my first “real job” after college, he came to my office and brought me flowers. My mom, who is a very talented quilter and always gifts us beautiful Christmas quilts, made me a gorgeous Valentine quilt in 2018 when Herschel was on deployment to Afghanistan. Love you, mom and dad ❤️.

Without further adieu, here are some of my favorite gifts that you can get the champagne-lover in your life this Valentine’s Day:

  • 🥂 Press for Champagne button with a ringing bell. I love this decorating accessory SO MUCH that I have two in my house and the small Christmas ornament in my tree decor. The first one I ordered for our champagne-themed guest bedroom and I loved it so much I got one for my office when I redecorated it in December. It’s beautifully-framed, ready-to-hang and it is the perfect way to glam up any room or space in your home or office.

  • 🥂 Haute wall art. Hi, my name is Amanda and I am addicted to decorating. As mentioned above, I redecorated my guest bedroom and office in late 2020 (ok, I lied I also did the dining room and my husband’s office). Glam wall art was a must in both of those spaces, and champagne had to be the theme. Oliver Gal art has a huge selection of champagne-inspired art that allows you to combine your love of fashion and/or champs.

  • Wake Me for Champagne pillow. I found this beautiful velvet pillow in an effort to keep Remy (my Siamese cat) from making the new hot pink armchair in my office his permanent residence. The pillow cover is well-made and the pillow inside is top quality, making it the “piéce de resistance” to your bed or favorite chair.

  • Mini Moet bottles. Champagne is often called “a drink for two” and it is nearly impossible to keep champagne’s perfect effervescence once a bottle has been open for too long even if stored properly. These mini bottles are fantastic for celebrating a “win” during the week, or if you live alone and want to elevate your weekend with a glass of bubbly. I bought a case of them at the beginning of the year to keep in the pink mini-fridge in my office and open them when I want to celebrate something like a new client. Plus it’s a much more wallet-friendly price point.

  • Subscription to Wine Spectator magazine. While this magazine features articles and wines from all over the world and all types of wine, there are regular features on champagne because of its growing popularity worldwide. I not only enjoy learning about harvesting and winemaking for what Dom Perignon said was “tasting the stars,” but also the hundreds upon hundreds of different houses of champagne. There are tastes and styles for everyone.

  • 🥂 Veuve Clicquot candle. Champagne bottles are gorgeous and hard to throw away (I mean, it’s expensive!!!!) This Etsy shop turns the beautiful bottles of well-known champagne brands into candles, and you can choose from 20 different scents. I happen to be partial to the “stress relief” scent (love me some eucalyptus!)

  • Vintage champagne bucket. Years and years ago when this food blog first launched, I got an email featuring their “favorites” and these champagne buckets caught my attention right away. Even though it was years before I truly “got into” champagne, I was thrilled when the "Moet & Chandon” bucket showed up a couple of weeks later. We use it All. The. Time. and there’s something fundamentally amazing about serving a fancy drink from a fancy vintage piece. (User hint: get yourself a pretty kitchen towel to wipe away the condensation that forms on the outside).

  • Insulated champagne flute. My wonderful friend Liz got me this for Christmas a couple of years ago and I will not disclose how many glasses of perfectly-chilled bubbly I have enjoyed on my back deck as a result of this baby. Nothing spoils champagne faster than heat. I take it on every vacation and I am not even kidding.

Wishing you a lovely Valentine’s Day, loves! 💕🥂
